Don't use it to refill gearboxes! Use manual pump only. Previous cars:

Why? Surely it's fine for (thin) ATF fluid, I'm not thinking of doing it with Hypoid 90!

The electric pump was a disaster. A little spilt oil goes a long way on the drive. The manual pump (Draper) didn't take that long and was a lot more controllable. Previous cars:

I use a pump up weed killer sprayer for diffs, transfer box and gear box.

That’s a good idea, so long as the seals are nitrile / oil resistant and won’t disintegrate later from handling oil.
