Great spot and a good price, considering you can take it back to Lidl's should it fail. Smile

I recently bought something very similar off Ebay and it's probably worth mentioning that these pumps are slow when pumping oil. The specs on this is engine oil pump rate of 0.2l/minute, so to suck 9L out of a TDV8 would take around 45 minutes.

Useful for many many jobs though, such as transferring ATF when doing a gearbox service, or removing fluids from a hard to reach spot (such as my A8 power steering reservoir which is buried low beneath a lump of a V8 Diesel)!

Don't use it to refill gearboxes! Use manual pump only. Previous cars:
S-Max 2007-2013 (only diesel I've had, good car but expensive when diesely bits go wrong, so what's the point?)

Why? Surely it's fine for (thin) ATF fluid, I'm not thinking of doing it with Hypoid 90!

I have a syringe, but putting in 5 litres with a syringe and it running all over the place and down my arm doesn't seem like fun, but with the pump stuck into a 20L container of ATF and a simple on off switch seems a whole lot better to me?

The electric pump was a disaster. A little spilt oil goes a long way on the drive. The manual pump (Draper) didn't take that long and was a lot more controllable. Previous cars:

That’s a good idea, so long as the seals are nitrile / oil resistant and won’t disintegrate later from handling oil.
