The OP has a 405 sir, not a 322 which I'm sure you're referring too above?

I've noticed on my 4.4 TDV8 a *very* slight coolant leak from a hose connection on the RHS (offside) of the radiator. It's so slight that there's no drip (it evaporates off), giving a hot smell when you park up.

Might be worth a look down the front of the engine bay for any coolant loss from a hose connector or water pump.

I meant to change the hose on mine when I did the auxiliary drive belt tensioner and belts as I had it all exposed - but had forgotten to buy the hose

Wouldn’t be surprised if part of the cooling did need some work.
