For very obvious reasons, I'm sure nobody, especially L322 owners would publicise this information. BMW i3 Electric Car

Software problems can cause battery drains on 322s. On my 2012 WM the first time it was the fuel burning heater software (is it under 5 degrees in Shetland yet?) and the second time it was the central locking software. In each case the battery was completely flattened. The solution was to have the dealer do a diagnostic check and then deal with the software fault. It seems that battery discharge in that way can cause it to be unable to hold charge properly in future, and I was told that this could be tested only once the battery has been fully charged. The first time the battery was no longer viable (about a year old), the replacement was OK.
