My 4.4TDV8 failed its MOT on nearside ball joint, i replaced both ball joints and both arms and RR passed MOT

On the way home i had three errors come up on the dash HDC, stability control, and forward alert, air suspension is inactive and airbag light is on. I pulled over switched off and plugged IID tool in nothing stored and no lights on restart. RR drives fine for about 15-20 minutes then lights all come on again, this time didn't switch off and plug IID in and got the following code U0415-00 (AA)

Ive google the code but cant find a lot of info. So far i have checked

All earths in engine bay plus battery voltage (healthy 14.7 whilst running)
Checked all connection on the side i did ball joints and all looked, have looked at live data for wheel speed sensors and all have the same reading

so i am at a loss as to what to check next, any help muchly appreciated

Have you checked the ride heights are correct.

No i havent hows the best way to do this on live data again ?

U Faults are usually cascaded down form another fault, are you sure there are no other faults? 2010 3.6 TDV8

Was the battery disconnected at any point ?

If so, it may be that that you need to reset the steering angle sensor. This is done by turning from lock to lock a couple of times after start up. ( i think its only once, but a couple ensures it ).

The systems such as ABS, DSC, HDC wont function without knowing the steering angle correctly, but if I remember rightly, it wont bing bong like a maddy (technical term!) about it at startup if it doesn't know the steering angle.

Cause the ABS, DSC, HDC wont work, then the suspension wont work either cause it wont allow you to enter off road modes etc. All for the sake of turning the steering from lock to lock. V8 or else ...

Turning the steering from lock to lock negates the need to drive the car... If the car is driven then the steering angle sensor will collect all its relevant data from the drive therefore replacing the need to turn the steering from lock to lock sir... Worth mentioning this for future readers benefit

U codes are meaningless and should be disregarded sir... If you start your car with a battery in 90% health then you will start getting U codes as the voltage drops when the starter motor is working... P codes are the important codes sir

I had this fault just yesterday after an aborted IID tool update of my 2011 4.4 TDV8's CCF file (attempting to turn on the fairy lights as DRL's - don't ask).

It took me a couple of goes to clear the fault which is like the modern day equivalent of the famous three Amigo's on the dash, but lock to lock with the steering wheel followed by a steering angle sensor calibration cleared the fault.

You should be able to clear this no probs, keep trying!

Just wanted to say big thanks to every one all sorted now had all the lights flag up this time and read code as steering angle, so re-calibrated and reset faults and did come back after a 50 miles drive
