DPF regen

I've had my 4.4tdv8 for a year now and done 4000 miles in it and was wondering how you know when it does a dpf regen? I have never seen any lights or symbols come up on the dash but have read about peoples woes with red and green warnings/ lights.

If you haven't seen any lights pop up on the dash then it sounds like your DPF regeneration is working just fine. The only way to monitor it is with a diagnostics tool such as the IID Tool but the problem is, once you start doing this you can become fixated on it. For your own sanity I would continue to enjoy driving your FF and only worry when the amber light pops up for the first time. 2011 TDV8 Vogue SE

That made me chuckle mate. It amazes me how indepth some people go when talking about their DPF. I have just got an IId BT tool but only for when something goes wrong.
