Stop / Start button: pad replacement.

Just thought I’d share a little maintenance item I did on the car this evening. Thought I’d share, apologies if it’s been done before...

My stop/start button works perfectly fine, but since I’ve had the car I’ve found the horizontal crack in the touchpad really unsightly and horrid to touch. Rather than replacing the entire unit for ~£75, I managed to source just the pad itself of eBay for less than £9 delivered.

Very simple to do, just take your time and don’t break and fragile plastic clips. Interestingly, the inner black tunnel has the Mazda logo stamped on it.

The part # no I used was LR050802-1. It came from China in a week, I cannot fault the quality and finish. Better than the original.

Beats paying this:

Hi Tommy,
Which ebayer did you decide to go with and did you pick the supplier for a reason? There are a number of sellers in China of this part.
Thanks
James
