Transmission fault

My RR has a fault that one minute it was fine next it had developed this, it starts fine then dashboard has HDC fault, Handbrake fault, suspension lowered, only selected gears available. It will drive but only in 3rd gear or reverse even command shift will stay in 3rd that's in hi/low ratio. I'm away from home just now so had local garage plug it in and they are saying there is no communication between any of the modules. they tried to clear but it won't let it as there is a engine system fault showing that has become a permanent fault which ive had for some time and cant get resolved after lots of money throwing parts at it I believe it is a boost fault but replaced all the common things and turbos. Please help if you can thanks in advance.
Graeme

Do you have a list of the codes it’s throwing up, that will help point in the right direction.

There are many things that can cause comms issues between modules

Thanks for reply.

I will get them from the garage maybe tomorrow.

Is there any other way of getting the codes via the dash?

Cheers

Not unless you have a code reader like an IID Tool.

Can you recommend a good one ? There’s so many on market and heard some are no good. Think I need to invest as I’ve had a few problems lately

The Gap IID Tool is the one a lot of us use on here, it allows you to change most of the different computers on the range rovers

Could be gearbox oil exceeding 140°c and triggering a protection mode that forces revs up by limiting the available gears so that oil pumps faster through the oil cooler.

As others have mentioned the GAP IIDTool is the one to go for as it allows you to drive the vehicle and monitor up to 8 live values. "Gloria" 2002 L322 Voguish V8 LPG - carcass
