I recently bought an ex demo TDV8 from a dealer. If I wish to update the map on the HDD (which is dated May 2009 and very misleading in places), is the dealer the only way for me, or can it be done from a laptop or similar?

I also note that the handbook differs from reality in terms of the items shown on various screens, so I assume that the software differs from the handbook. How do I find out the version of the software, and if it has a new version available?

And finally, would you expect the dealer to have upgraded these at the PDI stage, or not?
