I don't know exactly what your symptoms are likely to suggest but would advise at least it is plugged in to a Landrover diagnostics before you go any further.

martyn, as said RRPhil takes these, ZF anyway gearboxes apart and rebuilds them for a hobby he only charges you for the parts, last quote he gave for a complete gearbox rebuild was around 600 ££££`s which is bloody good. why not give him a try.

The power gradually diminished from 100% when the message first appeared to 0% over about 3/4 of a mile. I did not want to stop immediately due to the hazardous traffic conditions on the dual carriageway but in the end I was forced to do so due to not having any more drive. It just sat there, if you blip the throttle when the gearbox was in 'D' the car did not move one inch. Anyway it's at the repair place now so I should have a diagnosis soon, fingers crossed it's not to expensive but I doubt it with my luck lately. _________________ Currrent: 2005 FF Range Rover L322 Vogue TD6 Gone: 1999 Range Rover P38 HSE TD6 Gone: 1985 Land Rover 90 SWB diesel |

Cavendish Motors of Chesterfield, an independent Landrover repair centre who I trust. They are my regular garage for servicing ETC. They price matched the best quote I received from other gearbox specialists. _________________ Currrent: 2005 FF Range Rover L322 Vogue TD6 Gone: 1999 Range Rover P38 HSE TD6 Gone: 1985 Land Rover 90 SWB diesel |
