Dents in Door Shuts

My quest for a decent L322 continues. A relatively minor issue, but the three I have viewed so far all have minor dents in the door shuts. I can only assume this is due to seatbelt buckles being trapped as door is slammed shut. If my assumption is correct, is this just carelessness or are the seatbelts not retracting correctly? Any comments appreciated.

Yes caused by seatbelts shut in rear doors...

Im unsure if its by kids that have never been taught any worth or mechanical sympathy? Or caused later in the vehicles life when the seatbelts have become weaker and don't retract in time???

Either way, i have fitted tonnes of rear and front seatbelts for just this reason... Thumbs Up

Thanks - it is a long way down on my list of 'things to be bothered about'!

Even if it is a lazy seatbelt it is easy to replace them at home - about £100 for a front belt IIRC. Bish.

Similar issue with mine when I bought it. Pull it all the way out and use a little silicon spray.
Still working fine 2 years later.

Where do you spray? The end of the belt ? Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

Pull the belt all the way out. Light spray the first foot of it to start with and the areas where it runs through.
See if that’s enough. If not go a bit further.
Usually it gets enough speed at the start to get the rest pulled back.
Trial and error but cheaper than a new belt.
You will need some silicone spray for door/boot seals anyway so it’s worth a try. Jon

Land Rover products do not leak!

They simply mark their territory.😀
