Phone Mounts

Hello
What mounts are people using for their phone?
In my current car I used a Brodit mount and a cable. But looking for wireless charging this time.
Ideas?
Does anyone use vent mounts?

One idea is the Scosche Charge 3 Dash mount. The base is stuck by a 3M pad. So for me the passenger side of the duo screen surround. SDV8 AB MY 2020

I use this mount on the passenger air vent and it is very good. I use a wired connection to facilitate Apple CarPlay.

Genuine question, why do you need to mount your phone? Especially if you use CarPlay, as its all on the screen anyway. I understand adara's solution, as that's more about charging, but I don't remember seeing a mount that isn't ugly or made ugly when the wire is trailing down.

I've only ever mounted my phone in a hire car when it didn't have Sat Nav, but that's going back a few years as most either have built in Sat Nav or CarPlay now (or both).

Sorry, I know that it's helpful in any way, but I'm curious! Embarassed MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

Where do you put your phone when it’s connected to a wire for Apple CarPlay? MY23 D350 HSE

Question for me?

I don't use CarPlay much, but when I do I've got a short cable and the phone goes into the tray under the armrest so is nicely out of the way and everything is hidden. The only problem with that is if I want to access the fridge I have to move either the phone or unplug the USB cable, but I don't do that on the move so it's a small issue vs the benefit of a clutter free cabin. MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

The problem with the car cup holder phone holders with the facelift MY18 onwards, is that you then can’t access the storage below the cup holders which I use often. That’s why I went for a vent holder. MY23 D350 HSE

Thanks Martin.

It’s just individual choice. I prefer to have access to the phone whilst driving even if using Apple Car Play. MY23 D350 HSE

I use a combination of a Brodit clip and a wireless charger from Amazon that I dismantled and attached to the clip.

I did need to drill a hole through the clip, but other than that straight forward Thumbs Up

On such a hot day as today I ripped off the vent mounted phone holder... stops the airflow!

Need to rethink this , as I sometimes like the Waze app on. Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

Bill, I have mine on the passenger vent. My wife dislikes cold air blown straight on her face. I love it Smile MY23 D350 HSE
