I had the sports bars as I didn't want to permanently break off the little tabs to attached the roof rails

Earlier this summer I bought these from LRparts.net in order to mount my roof tent. Unfortunately I discovered that the bars running over the roof are, as far I could see, completely made out of plastic. Not feeling comfortable with mounting anything else than very light stuff on them. The rails that bolt on to the roof are made of aluminum and appears to be of a much better quality. Ended up with using the rails but swapping out the load bars with a load bar system fom Eezi Awn (K9 load bars). https://www.instagram.com/p/CA-r48eJ_Op/ This Instagram link shows my car with the K9 bars and the tent. ---------------- 2012 - L322 Westminster QRV @ LA2VSA / DA1AA |

Thanks Ikjos -- I think that's why I'm really after the Sports Bars

Another option I forgot to mention in my previous post is the Rhino Rack solution. They are using the fixed mounting points on the roof. No need of a rail.
