United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Zermatt Silver

I had the sports bars as I didn't want to permanently break off the little tabs to attached the roof rails

Guess it depends what you want them for, but the sports bars were absolutely fine for mounting a roof box and bikes 2007 Zermatt Silver TDV8 Vogue SE - now sold but was a great car!

Thanks both,

Ideally I want the Sports bars -- anyone know the part number? found it ! VUB502790, can't find anyone with the bars though

I wonder if we could have a Lend/Borrow section Rolling with laughter

The only use I have for it at the moment it to transport a ladder about 10 miles this coming weekend -- I don't really want to fit the rails -- but if someone came along offering a set it would be hard to refuse Rolling with laughter Current: 2011 FFRR Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Earlier this summer I bought these from LRparts.net in order to mount my roof tent. Unfortunately I discovered that the bars running over the roof are, as far I could see, completely made out of plastic. Not feeling comfortable with mounting anything else than very light stuff on them. The rails that bolt on to the roof are made of aluminum and appears to be of a much better quality.

Ended up with using the rails but swapping out the load bars with a load bar system fom Eezi Awn (K9 load bars).

This Instagram link shows my car with the K9 bars and the tent. ----------------

Thanks Ikjos -- I think that's why I'm really after the Sports Bars Smile

I think I may have found some Thules that will solve my weekend issue, M@ttsFF was kind enough to offer to lend me his Sports Bars I hope I got back in touch soon enough to stop him taking them off his car !

I'd still like a set of Sports Bars for the future if anyone has a set kicking around?

Thanks all so far

Another option I forgot to mention in my previous post is the Rhino Rack solution. They are using the fixed mounting points on the roof. No need of a rail.

Only issue with this solution, at least in my case, is that I'm stuck with the bars not being able to move them around. ----------------
