They've been pretty good to me and in the few instances where I have had warranty claims (I've had it from new and (in normal circumstances) drive it around 35,000 miles a year, so claims do happen, they've dealt without any resistance and they can get me into the workshop at very short notice. They've also never tried to sell me any service consumables, that I absolutely didn't need, at exorbitant prices (Carrs - Truro, I'm looking at you!).. I like giving the regular service work to the main dealer who does the warranty claims as it does seem to mean that they are motivated to fight my case if it comes to it. Although they've been LR main dealer since 1952, they refused to invest in a new Gin Palace LR showroom, so have just lost the franchise. They will carry on as an official LR service outlet, but I don't expect that their heart will be in it. I'll keep with them until the extended warranty runs out in September 2021 and then look to go to a specialist like Moores. I've had Mark Kelly recommended to me before, but sadly they never returned my call when I went to try them out for something. |

Thanks for your summary Red Merle, it all now makes perfect sense. I had a wry smile when I read your Mark Kelly comment as it’s just jogged my memory that they never got back to me either with a full service quote on our D4 a couple of years ago .... |

I really wanted 22" turbines, but the costs are way too high. I've got 22" on at the moment, and the ride can be a little less comfie than is ideal.

I have 22s on mine and find the ride slightly too hard however the handling makes up for it for me. My L322 on 21s rolled a bit too much in the corners but the L405 on 22s is much better. When I need to change tyres I will be looking for the biggest tyres possible to make the difference. 22s in my humble opinion just look right 2015 4.4 AB

I wouldn’t go any bigger than 20” unless you are driving on very well maintained roads.

Lovely colour (car that is). The 20s don't look as "lost" as I thought they might.

Mine came with 22’s and the first thing I did was change to 21’s. Big improvement on unsettled tarmac, but the biggest difference for me was road noise. Best test track for this is the South side of the M25 which still has the old fashioned concrete surface. On 22’s couldn’t hold a conversation with the wife without raised voices, much better on 21’s, can hear everything she says.

Glad you mentioned that bit of the M25. Went to Thorpe Park last year, blimey, what a racket! Kids reckoned something was broken.
