You definitely need a Jack with double piston lift.
Half way up the second piston before a fully inflated tyre clears .

the best i can find is one on amazon for £29 for a 460mm lift..

i'm curious to know how the supplied scissor jack can extend that much

I was shocked just how high the car needed jacking to get a wheel off the ground, the first time I used the jacking point and now use the suspension arm and it's much less dramatic. Current: FF Westminster money pit

Stan,
You could try the original jack , but with the wheel secure.
You will quickly learn why they are so dangerous.
The two arms of the scissor get nearly vertical .

From experience I can recommend that you don’t try to lift the back end by placing the Sprinter jack in the centre of the subframe, between the exhausts. If you do this and it isn’t perfectly central, your car may attempt to do the Time Warp. Possibly a jump to the left, possibly a step to the right. Either way, a heart stopping moment Shocked 2017 Jaguar F Pace 25t Portfolio - still part of the JLR family 😀

Can anyone tell me the jack height required to lift an inflated wheel off the ground?

I should have measured it last time but was busy with a small child who walked underneath at the time. Shockingly high Surprised

Could measure the child i suppose...
