That contradicts my late 2012 version of Microcat but as the 5.0 in the L405 only uses 1 radar unit and its ECM handles adaptive cruise then it appears that Microcat may be incorrect, not that it's otherwise always been perfect anyway.

Thanks both georgekale and GraemeS.
I too saw the microcat pages with the 2 radars and the ECU in the rear. I had a search for the yellow connector in the rear 1/4 but couldn't find it.
I just need to get a switch unit and find some one local with an IID tool or wait for mine and try the reflash on the radar unit I have.
Also checked the fuse box to find the fuse already fitted.

Installed replacement radar unit today. Works like a charm. I was surprised thar it worked without have to do forward calibration.
I'm pleased. the defective unit was a pain in the ass. It would work then lose calibration. Reprogram, last few days and fail again.
This replacement radar unit worked instantly. Turn ignition on . Display shows forward icon. Test drove works like it should.

ACC in Misc Vehicle Configuration

I have read this thread with interest and I am going to try retrofitting to my 2012 4.4 Westminster. My friendly specialist plugged in his diagnostic tool to see if the option to select ACC appears - the Miscellaneous Vehicle Configuration screen has 3 options - Speed Control 3.0L, Speed Control 3.0L 2, Speed Control 2.7L. In my case speed control fitted appears next to the two 3.0L settings. Can anyone confirm which one I will need to edit once the radar unit is fitted? I have attached a picture. Also odd is why list a 2.7L option, and no 3.6 or 4.4 if this refers to engine size?
Any help appreciated.

This is the screen listing a 2.7L option - why no 3.6 or 4.4 if this refers to engine size?

I doubt the ability of that particular diagnostic tool to change the necessary settings.

Got it all together but still no joy.

Hi All, Sorry for resurrecting this thread but this is where I got most of my info from.
Finally got all my ACC together. IID tool, new LH switch, second hand sensor, bracket and sensor link wire. The Sensor was from a Ford ranger but its firmware had been reflashed to Jaguar firmware BH32-9G768-AA.
With it all installed and connected and CCF modified for ACC I was getting cruise not available on the dash. I was unable to find CCM in the ECU list in the IID. I then found that the fuse was not in the engine fusebox. Fitted the fuse and was able to find the CCM in the IID. I tried to reflash to the latest RR firmware which I got from GAP but it failed to flash multiple times. Still cruise not available. Tried to recalibrate and calibrate failed with E3 code. I re CCF,d to normal cruise.
I got a replacement sensor this week which was from a RR part no HPLA-9G768-AF. I fitted this and re CCF,d to ACC. Still have cruise not available and I can't find CCM in the ECU list in IID. I tried the reflash and it does Reflash successfully every time but still can't find CCM and no CCM faults shown in the faults list only ABS and ECM (lost communication with cruise module).
What am I doing wrong?
Am I forgetting anything?

The sensor prefix indicates that it is for a L494 or Velar and maybe the L405, possibly 2016 or later and the suffix is later than AD, being what appears to be the last fitted to the L322. I wonder if the hardware has features that aren't supported on the L322, such as the 2nd HS canbus that was introduced some time after the L494/L405 were introduced. Whilst the IIDTool can obviously access it to install the firmware, the sensor isn't recognised as an acceptable module.

BTW I invested in the GAP tool and now have ACC working on my 2012 L322 Westminster. Thanks for all the useful info on here, really helped.

I also saw that georgekale didn't use the rear ACC Control module. This is for a NA 5.0 version. Can anyone else confirm if this is really needed or not? I am in the process of slowly gathering the parts for this install seeing its relatively simple given everything is "plug and play" apart from reprogramming the system. My biggest reasons for this is the emergency braking more than anything and the forward collision alert when regular driving
