I have read this thread with interest and I am going to try retrofitting to my 2012 4.4 Westminster. My friendly specialist plugged in his diagnostic tool to see if the option to select ACC appears - the Miscellaneous Vehicle Configuration screen has 3 options - Speed Control 3.0L, Speed Control 3.0L 2, Speed Control 2.7L. In my case speed control fitted appears next to the two 3.0L settings. Can anyone confirm which one I will need to edit once the radar unit is fitted? I have attached a picture. Also odd is why list a 2.7L option, and no 3.6 or 4.4 if this refers to engine size?

I doubt the ability of that particular diagnostic tool to change the necessary settings. |

The sensor prefix indicates that it is for a L494 or Velar and maybe the L405, possibly 2016 or later and the suffix is later than AD, being what appears to be the last fitted to the L322. I wonder if the hardware has features that aren't supported on the L322, such as the 2nd HS canbus that was introduced some time after the L494/L405 were introduced. Whilst the IIDTool can obviously access it to install the firmware, the sensor isn't recognised as an acceptable module. |

BTW I invested in the GAP tool and now have ACC working on my 2012 L322 Westminster. Thanks for all the useful info on here, really helped. |

I also saw that georgekale didn't use the rear ACC Control module. This is for a NA 5.0 version. Can anyone else confirm if this is really needed or not? I am in the process of slowly gathering the parts for this install seeing its relatively simple given everything is "plug and play" apart from reprogramming the system. My biggest reasons for this is the emergency braking more than anything and the forward collision alert when regular driving |
