yes 3rd party are called "courtier" in france, you could google "courtier en assurance auto" to find a couple

As above, you could, as suggested, talk to your bank or other insurance providers such as AXA or Groupama. There are others.

For what it's worth: do not buy and pay your insurance through a comparision site as lynx etc. Go directly to the site of the company. Comparision sites are invaded by youngsters that sell your creditcard number and code. Take care. It's not only my experience but a few friends had the same experience. My card was used in Mexico and in Panama the day after I bought my insurance through lynx...my bank rep. new I was here in France and blocked my card immediatly.... |

the car insurance comparison sites in the UK transfer you to the insurance provider so no probs like that here.... ... - .- -.
