Used with my 600mm breaker bar made life easier on high torque tightening now that I am getting on a bit!

I have one of those for my D2....very useful when your torque wrench only goes up to 200Nm and the bolts need to be tightened to 230Nm!

A set of wind deflectors from Clover Auto.

Currently on offer at £27.20 including shipping for a set of 6 (includes the boot windows to maintain the lines).

Dunc.

Dunc, I have exactly the same car and have pondered about these for ages. Any chance of a photo when you've fitted them? Cheers Kev.

Managed to find time to fit them today. Easy job and I like the look. I'll find out tomorrow whether or not they're effective!

Post up how good the deflectors are at wind and noise reduction please.

Will do. Thumbs Up

Dunc.

Well, I've done about 80 miles with the deflectors on and they seem to work well. No wind noise and much reduced noise with the window lightly open.

All in all I'm really pleased with them. I like the look, too.

Hi Dunc, my car is exactly the same as yours. I didn't realise when I bought it that it has a set of Westminster alloys fitted. I much prefer yours which I presume are standard Autobiography. Have you any idea what the style number is? Cheers Kev.

Hi Kev.

I've only known them as Autobiography Design pack wheels but I copied this from an eBay sale;

WHEEL SPECS:

- OFF 58

- TYRE SIZE: 255/50/20

- 8.5JX20 EH2

- PART NUMBER BH4M1007CA

FOR RANGE ROVER VOGUE L322 OR RANGE ROVER SPORT L320

WHEEL SET: 61

He wants £995 for a set of 4 with tyres.

Thanks for that Dunc.

Can I ask what noise and buffet is like at fully open window position? Cheers

i can answer that Richard....not a lot..

i had them on my westie and they did improve buffeting a very small amount but i found opening the rears a tad helped more.

they didnt even stop the windscreen washer water coming in when you were moving and window was open..

oh, and they aint easy to fit.. ... - .- -.

Thanks Stan, appreciate your comments, that's a shame Sad . But you have saved me some pennies and perhaps a beating (verbal, I hasten to add) from SWMBO for needless expenditure Razz Bow down

re water in from washers. do you think JLR employ folks to design P*** you off functions and faults? Bet we could start a thread on that. ( eg. So what did you design to annoy folks today??) Cheers
Richard

I found them very easy to fit. Cleaned the door frames, test fitted them with the protective strip still on the sticky tape then peeled it back and stuck them on. No problem at all.

Wonder if Stan had the inframe ones? Like you said, can't see how the stick on ones can be hard to fit.

yep, mine were the in frame ones, you had to bend them to get them into the window well ...

i can see the stick outer ones being much easier to fit.. Thumbs Up ... - .- -.

Did you have any issues with the windows closing properly Stan? Have heard of in frame ones causing whistling until the rubbers have 'given' a bit because the window is not fully up.
