Yip, range anxiety is still an issue to a lot of people, myself included.

If they could produce a car that has a theoretical range of say 1000km, giving a real life range in all conditions of say 500km, I might reconsider.

Oh and the price is reasonably affordable and the batteries don’t need replaced after 3-5 years.

Charging time at home would be an issue, local supplu isn't that good at best. I don't know how many AMPS are available to this house but I'm sure the charging time would be impacted.

It also depends on how good the grid is in your area - it's designed on the basis that not everyone draws full load at the same time. Look forward towards more power cuts or "brown-outs" as the use of EV's increases.

I have a 1923's built house & the incoming cable is the equivalent of 6mm2 (which is generally rated around 40 amps) - but I have a 100amp fuse to "protect" it. The incoming voltage goes up & down like a yo yo but National Grid will not do anything about it until it fails completely.
In the meantime EDF get a bill every time something like a central heating controller fails (they always argue, but always pay up in the end - after all, they are providing a faulty product".)

If there is no mains gas in your area then a lot of people will have storage heaters so not too much capacity left for charging up electric mice.
