Hello, LR giving me lesson again - restricted performance mode when overtaking to light hill or under nearly full gas - after turning off and on the vehicle everything is okay

my diag giving me error P244B-00 Diesel particulate filter differential pressure too high (bank1)

in live data pressure is in bank1 about 1.448 Kpa and bank2 has about 0.576 Kpa and Total mass of particle soot is 2.32 g/s - but here is only value for one DPF - i cant select bank1 or bank2

i cant force regeneration with Launch diag (it says complete in like 15seconds) or iCarsoft (giving me communucation error)

well i checked hoses from intercooler and looks ok - we try to fill them with pressure and there is no leak but i cant say i am 100% sure as this error giving me only under heavy load

in anybody familiar with this error code? what to do next? thanks a lot

And have a look under the material webbing on it. 9/10 it will have a split. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

yes i checked these very detailed and didnt find any split or tear, do you have any photo of "your split" please?

i already ordered replacement silicone hoses as many people told me that these will crack one day

No pic. Did the write up after I had fixed the split.

It was about 50mm under the material at the bend by the throttle body. Wasn’t obvious until I removed the hose and peeled back the material, can’t normally see it without removing the hose. takes 5 mins, only 2 hose clamps. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

ok thank you i got them off today too but i will check both tomorrow again just to be sure

is there any other method to check for like hairline splits? idk like with checking splits/leaks on tyres - like mix water with some detergent and see if some bubbles comes out?

that might work, but usually if they have a hole in them then its pretty obvious once they are off. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

today i checked hoses to differential sensors - looks ok, no splits or so, i tried to swap them but no luck, error is still on bank1

after that i swapped rubber 90° L hoses on intake plastic thing i give it a ride with recording live data and right before restricted performance mode first pressure downgrade was at bank2 (manifold pressure) - after that all presures went down

exhaust temperature was - bank1 - 480°c a bank2 444°c - is this mean that car was trying to regenerate DPFs or these temperatures are normal?

okay we are in blind end here ...

checked both DPFs today and both looking good and clean, started engine without DPFs and there is no smoke, oil or something bad, just clean air but still cant perform force regeneration with SDD - time just running up and nothing is happening - one ride abored at 35mins and second one aborted about 45mins (by restricted performance mode)

soot mass is about 8g/s so its still filling up :/ so as i have an access to SDD diag, any ideas to look for?

DPF on a 3.6? Mines a 2010 3.6 and hasn’t got them?
I get restricted performance messsges relating to Bank A all the time. I’ve been told it’s a software fault relating to the remap that was installed before we bought it so I’m thinking of taking it off. The advice was that if it was a physical leak, it would fault every time I drove it. Since I drove up a crawler lane on the way back from holiday yesterday with a 1850kg caravan on the back and it didn’t fault, then faulted coasting along a flat road without the caravan, I think there might be some truth in it. 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

really 2010 3.6 (with interior facelift) and i got them

so you got EGRs delete and remap or only remap...? i got both but drove like 900+ miles after remap without any problems and i think my restricted perf. light up after every trip longer then approx. 20miles mostly after stronger acceleration or right before acceleration and braking

my last try before i put remap off would be blanking that EGRs becaues there could be burned EGR valve (so its not physically closed) as my MAF sensor on bank1 rapidly jumping and i will send my DPF on bank1 to cleaning 'cause both issues could be related to this strange behaviour of MAF

well i try to take DPF (bank1) to cleaning service and after that, car fails on P244B-00 (bank2) so i pull out second DPF and do the cleaning ... everything goes OK

but after 1500kms (930miles) jumped to limp mode again ->P244B-00 Diesel particulate filter differential pressure too high (bank1)

SDD showing that pressure on bank1 is same like before (1.40kpa) bank2 is like 0.28Kpa BUT both DPFs cleaned well to similiar values

any ideas please?

The parts catalogue shows that the 2 rear sensors are the same and the 3 front sensors are the same although different to the rears, indicating that the sensors can be swapped left and right. Perhaps swap the rear sensors then see if the fault remains on the same bank but if swapped then the rear sensor is most likely faulty. If no difference then swap front sensors then check if the fault has swapped sides.

but never heard of any front sensors, could you please point me out where are they or how they look like?
I was though that these (at the front) all are temperature sensors

Sorry, I misread the descriptions as the sensors are temperature sensors, not pressure.

The diagram shows 1 pressure sensor for each side, each with different part numbers. There are 2 tubes to each sensor. The diagram shows 1 tube connecting to a stem pipe just below the flexible exhaust section on each side and the 2nd tube presumably connecting to a point behind each DPF.

I wonder if you swapped temperature sensors.

The sensor part numbers were originally MHK501150 (RH) and MHK501160 (LH) but MHK501150 now supersedes to the same number as the LH MHK501160.
