If there are no visible leaks then it might be the head gasket. A failed head gasket will usually give a white exhaust. ----------

A friend had the same issue on his 5.0 sc and it was the water pump, replaced and now fixed. Not very visable signs of a leak but careful inspection showed markings below the pump area. |

Yes I'm responding 125,000 miles later....the Rover is running good and it was the water pump......no problems since...thank you |

I have a 2014 3.0l since new and now it is drinking water. I have found out that the rear offside (UK car) there is a set of hoses that send coolant to the rear heating system and these have a leak. This is going to set me back £2000 to have the pipes replaced due to the rear sub frame will need to be lowered to gain access.
