I'd love to maintain the logic 7 system but I hear it's a bit of a ball ache.

What did you do with both of yours?

I presume as mines DSP amped it won't work with that head unit out of the box without the bypass kit etc?

Well I went the whole hog and ripped out the amp on my dsp setup but about a month later ibus app came out which you install on an android head unit around £30 and you need a usb resler interface. You can then code the dsp amp to work with a non ibus headunit. Loads have done it on the x5 forums. I’d do that.

On my logic 7 I bought a HUR box it cost £130 and it converts the line level outs from the head unit to optical for the amp.

I’m Confused I didn’t rip the amp out on logic 7 I did that on dsp on logic 7 I used a hur adapter.

Can I confirm the hi amp you have had the orange optical lead in the boost as they did a non optical hk amp too and don’t want to talk at cross purposes Current stable:

No other way around - if it is optical you do need hur if it’s not I think you can wire directly in Current stable:

Your MOST system is the same as in Dan's 2007 with Logic 7, so you could probably go down the route he has taken. John

Here you go there is one problem with it I feel I should tell you. It works by setting the amps volume to 100% so if there’s no music and the car is off you can slightly here a hiss of amplifying nothing with the car idling and driving I don’t hear it and with something playing I definitely don’t. Just being honest. It’s annoying as if they set the amp to say 80% it would be fine.

The other option is to gut it and use aftermarket amp Current stable:

Dan one final thing did you need a fasica unit for your erisin unit? Or does it fit perfectly?

Hi Chris - the Erisin I have is different to that one (mine is a year old now and they churn these out quick) mine had the traditional CD player backing to it as opposed to the tablet style. Mine in the 2002-05 went in fine there is a a massive cavity behind it but if it’s loads thicker you may need to get a bit handy with how you mount it. I didn’t need anything else tbf I bought a 5m most cable as I’m lazy and couldn’t be bothered to reroute what was there I think it was about £20 from Ali express Current stable:

Just remember you won’t be able to set the clock as this is set through the screen unless you buy a resler interface and a licence of ibus app.

Completely untested on the most setup with a 4.4 but as everything else is Bmw still and it still retains an ibus network I think it should work fine if you want to try it I know a guy selling a resler interface (me ) pm me - you can trial the app to see if it works before buying it . Current stable:
