This might help tie all this together. Nice explanation on the system and how it differs from BMW x5.

new head unit

I've got an incredibly beautiful 2003 L322 HSE diesel with a Jewelet head unit. It's a pretty good unit but, since I live in the tropics,(19degrees south) the screen is often too small and dark to see properly.

Can anybody suggest a modern unit, mostly screen if possible, to replace it?

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.2 SC V8 Zermatt Silver

I’m in the process - should be done by next week - I have the newer interior with the most bus so waiting for my rca to most adapter to get sound - tracking says due Monday so hopefully have it up and running by the weekend.

I have plugged it all in and it’s very nice - the only thing I will say is the longest standby you can set is an hour. My eonon I had in my earlier l322 had some kind of hibernation which meant it was always booted in under 10 seconds unless it was a battery off job. This takes about 30 seconds to boot after the hour has passed. Not the end of the world but just an observation

Cheers Current stable:

Can I just confirm that this unit will fit my 04 RR Vogue with Logic 7

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DAB-Car-Stereo-...#vi-ilComp

All I need after this I presume is the bypass kit from dynamic sounds?

Or do I still need the connects2 (cheaper kit) that mates with the LR RR radio looms?

Thanks,

Chris

That head unit will physically fit, hopefully someone else can answer what else you need, I'm too far removed to know now...

You may find a cheaper one here.... Thumbs Up

How does it look fitted?

What other parts did you require to fit it

ill nip out and get a pic. didn't need any parts as the footprint is the same size. you MAY have to amend the bracket/cradle it fits in I didn't have to Current stable:

Yes 2007 so facelift - however I did it in my2002 as well so it’s possible in any combination.
