OS/R central locking fault

Hello all,
I have had a search for this problem but cant find anything in here that matches my exact issue.
I have a 2004 L322 the offside rear door has decided that it wont unlock on the fob, or the button on the dashboard.
I can unlock it by pulling the handle on the inside.
When I lock it with the fob or button it will lock. Then wont unlock .
Any ideas?
I assume I've got to pull the door card off but what fron there?
Thanks in advance.

Perhaps card off and check the mechanism and all connectors and wires. No corrosion or weak spots/breaks. There's a post on here about a cable failing in the sleeve between door and body, but I can't remember if it was a lock or window fault. Try also powering the lock from a correct voltage supply. May tell you if the lock's OK and wiring/supply needs further works.

Hope this helps. Cheers
Richard

Body Control Unit (BCU). Situated under the Pax seat. Need to remove and check/replace. Also brings about heavy steering! Shocked

My n/s was hit and miss. I bought a replacement from Gentlemen of salvage for £19 thinking it was worth a try. All fixed and took more effort getting the door card off than anything else. 2011 4.4tdv8 Vogue

When I lock and unlock the doors I can hear the actuator doing its thing.
I've had the door card off. I can't see anything obvious. Feels like its moving ok.
Currently scratching my head.

Mine always sounded like it was working but it was too weak. It unlocked no problem if you locked by hand but rarely did it itself. On the central switch it would work more often but too hit an miss. 2011 4.4tdv8 Vogue

It's difficult to test, having to disconnect the battery.

For the sake of £20 for a salvage item I would change it out. Mine moved but not enough to lock. 2011 4.4tdv8 Vogue
