England 2014 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Loire Blue

There seems to be a premium on the 2011's and 12's they seem to be silly prices Shocked

I'm not a Yorkshire man but I've lived here longer than anywhere else and some of it has rubbed off on me..!! Laughing Pete

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Santorini Black

just realised there was a typo in my previous reply (now corrected). Mine had 45k miles on it when i got it, not 15k. FWIW I did look at a 25k mile car at the time but that was about £34k IIRC. too much for me at the time.

Appreciate the 5k offer, but I'm currently enjoying the lower petrol prices so I'll hang onto it for now Smile

I went for Option 3 and as much as I love it and it's done less than 60k I do have to do all the bushes including sub frame, so I'd do 2 if I had my time again.

They're glorious though Thumbs Up Formerly happymadison1978

That's interesting about your bushes Stephen.125 - are you getting clunking noises or have you examined them and found they need replacing?

Some clunking and the odd old pram noise. Checked the Hub bushes (well, rose joints) and they're fine.

Got an advisory on the last MOT. Everything else about it is gorgeous, and it's not exhibited any of the timing chain follower noises. Low mileage and pulls like a train. Makes my old 4.2 seem almost pedestrian. Thumbs Up Formerly happymadison1978

Ok, poll time....

Option 1

Don't buy another Range Rover, you have better things to do with your life than fix it all the time....

Option 2

Buy the cheapest one you can find, (£8,000 to 10,000) that will probably have 120,000 to 150,000 miles, do whatever paint it needs, change all the bushes underneath, deep service and make it mint for a couple of grand but it's still a highish miler

Option 3

Don't be a tight git and spend £15,000 on a nice 60,000 to 70,000 mile one in mintish condition but probably still end up changing a lot of rubber bushes underneath... maybe...

Last year I did 10,000 miles in current car with 0 issues (Lexus LS) but that was in 6 months as it sat on the drive for 6 months, so this year maybe 15 to 20,000 miles so the new one will get used a lot...

I'm leaning towards 2 as at least I know it will be totally sorted for me, now, but when I sell it, it will be a good condition very high miler and worth...??

What do you recon guys..???

You buy a car off me again which would be Option 3 Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Just recovered from surgery and decided to do something new. 2011 Stornaway Grey 5.0SC Autobiography

I went for option 2 recently. Cheapest on eBay with 13k spent in the last 2 years.

Instantly spent a few quid on bushes, ball joints, tyres, wheel retrim and a service. In my eyes the money saved can be spent fixing it - and I’m sure one double the price will go wrong as often.

That my logic anyway! 1995 4.6 v8, green/tan (long gone)
