its a gimmick and i dont think anyone uses the dual view...if you are thinking of watching tv on the move you'll be very disappointed as the signal fluctuates greatly... ... - .- -.

Agreed. I listen to BBC News as I'm driving (no video obviously) and it gets annoying when it drops out. I would be focussing more on the mechanical "health" of a future purchase and not fancy ICE e.g. if looking at a TDV8 then has it had turbo drain mod for exhaust "cloud" on booting? Is the oil cooler leaking? They all "go" at higher mileage. Has the gearbox oil been changed? The list is endless: 4th post down: https://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic44115-75.html Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory" 2025MY Defender D350 90 in Silicon Silver on coils 1974 Series 3 Lightweight = "Millie" Many, many other Landies over the years My preferred specialist: www.glenrands.co.uk -------------------------------------------------- |

I think it depends massively where you are, and what speed you're doing. On my standard (pre-COVID) drive London -> Poole, for the hour crawling through central London it works beautifully, so my wife gets to watch at least 1 hour of something (Escape to the Country normally). And then as soon as we hit the M3 and speed up, it becomes intermittent, and so we switch to the DAB radio. But if you spend lots of time crawling through traffic-jammed cities and towns, it might actually have a use! |
