Load Cover Parts

Hi All,

I've just purchased a TD6. It drives wonderful but there are a few interior bits and bobs that i'd like to rejuvenate. One of the worst issues is that the plastic/rubber load cover guides (see photograph) are missing and have been replaced with a threaded bolt. Hence, the plastic trim around the rear tailgate is scratched to pieces.

Does anyone know where/how to get a hold of replacement runners?

Any help or advice much appreciated.

Cheers for the quick response. My photograph uploaded to the Gallery but I only just worked out how to imbed it in the message Rolling Eyes. That's the part though! Thanks for your help.

As a temporary fix, could you fit some heat shrink tube over the bolts? Cheers

I did something very similar although I used solid brass rod with heatshrink, because where the guides fitted the cover had been broken. Only notices when the cover is up. 2003 Range Rover Vogue TD6

I have 2 x HM1 and 2 x HM2 if you are interested. All are brand new still in packaging.

Believe i paid around 10 pounds each for them. Let me know and I will put them in a padded envelope.

Thank you all so much for your responses. I'll see if any local breakers have any load covers in good condition but if that falls through i'll let you know.

Cheers again!

A member (warninglight) is planning on 3d printing these in the near future, I sent him my broken one a few days ago to copy.

Good effort if they succeed!

I had a look at some listed on eBay and they're in terrible condition compared to mine, so I'm inclined to wait/bodge some temporary solution.

I bought some new ones from the local LR dealer. Not daft money. Can you not buy them separately anymore? 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

They are easily available from any dealer or LR parts place, e.g. Island 4x4: https://www.island-4x4.co.uk/pin-epn000010puy-p-37279.html .

I bought some too a couple of years ago to replace my broken ones, and for £4-5 each, didn't think that was too bad, given the other costs associated with these vehicles!

Yes it's just a bit of plastic, and of course could be made more cheaply, but they aren't a problem to get hold of, unlike some parts. I guess the slightly annoying thing is that unless you have a local dealer you can collect from, or you are putting in a bigger order anyway, the postage on a single pin will probably equal (or be more than) the price of the part itself, which is very frustrating!

Thanks Paul,

Do you know what the two different part codes are for HM1 and HM2. It's two HM1s that I need, but the parts (HM1 and HM2) have slightly different dimensions so want to avoid ordering the wrong one.

Cheers,

Tom

HM1, at the tailgate end of the shelf, are actually EPN000020PUY, and seem to be the ones most commonly breaking and needing replacement for the moving flap. That's certainly what I ordered and fitted from Duckworths for one of my shelf pins closest to the rear of the vehicle, and was perfect.

I think the other pin further towards the front of the shelf is EPN000010PUY, but if you phone/email e.g. Duckworths or Island 4x4, they will be able to tell you easily and make sure you get the correct part.
