if i'm going to be dropping that kind of money already I may as well get the Android widescreen touchscreen Ray is selling. Really pays off when viewing a movie or the like. 2014 FF Autobiography 5.0 SC

That's better than Apple Carplay in my 2018 car. Mine is not Wireless, you have to plug the phone in. All LR cars from 1984

I’m tempted with this, but having watched the video, there is no way I’d try to DIY. I would make a mess a probably break something, so I’d need to pay for installation too. That will probably add up to over a grand all in. Not so tempting |

this carplay/android auto is tempting but for £550'ish and the complex fitting is it worth it? ... - .- -.

The first time watching the install vid it will look daunting but it’s really not bad. The wide screen android is a lot more involved as you have to separate the stock display and get into the circuit board where you attach the circuit board of the android and put it all back together etc. this install is a walk in the park. Just remove some panels and route some wiring. Easy peasy 2014 FF Autobiography 5.0 SC

Spoke to this company today and the only issue for me is you lose the sat nav in the dash cluster, which I like. 2015 4.4 AB

This unit really appealed to me , it keeps all the factory functions, including dual screen and retains all the voice activation features which I use alot. The plug and play nature was also very appealing but the loss of the sat nav from the dash cluster is something I would miss. 2015 4.4 AB

All you lose is the sat nav on the instrument cluster, it's a personal thing for me and i readily understand if others aren't bothered by losing it. Other than my personal issue the unit seems great , keep all of the standard functions while adding wireless carplay and any app you use. 2015 4.4 AB
