I would be going back to where you bought them and asking the dealer to make a claim to Goodyear on your behalf. 2010 3.6TDV8 Stornoway Grey/ Black interior - gone

I would not be happy & would expect the dealer to send them back to Goodyear.I would not want my daughter to be running around with tyres in that state.

I bought these through Asda Tyres and they were fitted in October 2018. Since then she has driven just under 8500 miles.

The cracking is not down to miles it is down to age. On the side of the tyre there will be a date of manufacture as a 4 digit number. First 2 digits is the week and the other 2 the year, if you had them fitted Oct 18 then the tyres should have a date code within 2018 ideally not more than six months prior to fitting. EG 2618 would be week 26 of 2018 2010 3.6TDV8 Stornoway Grey/ Black interior - gone

I wouldn't be happy with those Jim. My mum got an MOT advisory on age related tyre cracking last month which weren't as bad as those but are 5 years old. Maybe ASDA chucked on seriously old stock - have you checked the date code ? Current: FF Westminster money pit

Apart from the fact they have not covered that many miles I would, as a matter of urgency get a new set of tyres fitted, retain the old ones and take it up with Asda and if you paid with a credit card your card issuers.

New stock (as they were) tyres shouldn’t look like that. I would as a matter of course take it up with where you purchased them, but also send an email to Goodyear with photos of the cracks, and photos of the date codes and tyre spec a long with when and where you bought them. Just to back up your claim and cover all bases. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

As seems to be the way of the world today, post something on Facetwat or Instabook that a much wider (and lets face it, much younger) audience than this forum will see and watch Asda Tyres business go down the pan, especially if you mention your daughter being a carer!
