Just a quick update.
After 10 weeks of being fobbed off Asda Tyres has finally refunded me 50% of the cost of the tyres. The only reason I managed to get this was that I contacted Roger Burnley, the CEO of Asda, directly.
At every opportunity I have had excuse after excuse as to why the tyres were not defective and why Asda Tyres would not issue any form of refund.
At the very beginning of the saga I asked for a 50% refund, which I thought was more than reasonable. However it took a complaint to the CEO and the Asda Executive Relations team to achieve this.
Asda Tyres have even offered me a “special deal” on my next set of tyres. Somehow I don’t think that I will be using them in the future, nor will I ever recommend them......
