Cheers will have a go at that, how costly is it going to be if the timing chain is in bits do I want to know........? |

It may not be the timing chain itself (although it could be ) but the guides. These are plastic and do become brittle with the hi operating temps over time. It isn’t a big job. Holidaychicken on here has done some good write ups. I had mine done at 180,000 miles for £3000. It’s a front off job.

Btw the engine does NOT have to come out, despite what some May say!
