Good Morning DrRob,

I am interested in the lights too as well as the connection kit for a second battery available from the website link you provided in your post below.

I am however extremely cautious when ordering online from unknown sources due to the high number of scam artists selling online. The online shop has only a Hotmail email contact point - no postal address or contact telephone number.

If anyone knows the outfit please confirm whether the supplier is known or not.

Researching the domain owner - no individual is registered as the owner.

Website is registered through WIX.com Ltd a website hosting company that provides free template websites out of Israel.

None of the website pages such as the Shipping and Returns, FAQs and About Us pages actually contain any information other than the normal website template place holding text.

There is a Facebook Group page for the website with posts only by the individual who started the page.....

This chap sells various LR bits and pieces on EBay.

Funnily enough I was looking at a set of these last week. I dropped him a message using the “Contact Seller” link and he was straight back to me. He has 100% feedback.

Hi jim4244,

Well that is good news indeed. Not everyone is IT literate enough to have a good corporate type website - the eBay rating is a good measure of trustworthiness.

Ordering through his eBay listings and paying by PayPal is by far safer than through his website.

Will order the wing mirror puddle lights and second battery wiring from him Smile

Hi V8 Bob,

Many thanks for the heads up. Your info arrived just as I was loading my eBay shopping cart this morning.

Excellent - I have just ordered the lights kit from the eBay link you provided. These are a bargain compared to £22 for just the wing mirror lights. Smile

Only ordered the 2nd battery harness from the eBay link provided by Jim4244, fortunately I had not ordered the wing mirror lights from the that seller as planned....

Also ordered a full filter kit from Maltings.

So have a few more jobs to do during lock down Smile

There appears to be some quality issues when you read the feedback?

I watched some videos on you tube to get fitting instructions, hardest were the ones inside the tailgate but hadn’t paid enough attention to videos.

Note they are polarity sensitive so try them as you fit them as they may need turned around to work.

Wires on reversing lights were very short ended up using long nosed pliers to hold bulb holder when refitting. Oh and I wouldn’t even try the glovebox light the bulb is hidden up in the top and is an absolute “sxxt” of a job seems an after thought by JLR ! 2012 tdv8 Westminster arrived Jan 19 gone Dec 23

Fitted most of the LED lights yesterday, except for the wing mirror puddle lights, and the glove box bulb, which will be fitted today.

Purchased through eBay from:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RANGE-ROVER-VOG...2749.l2649

Process was really easy for all lights (apart from the wing mirror lights as I was unable to open these and my fat fingers couldn't get the glove box bulb out), with all lights fitted within 30 minutes.

One thing was notable in so far as the car would not start after fitting the LED lights due to the battery having discharged. A short boost of the battery with a charger and the car started without an issue and with no errors showing.

The LED lights do make a huge difference to the brightness of the interior compared to the standard bulbs, more so when it is dark. The increased brightness of the reversing lights is outstanding.

Still waiting for the harness for the second battery to arrive. Already have a new Varta Silver Dynamic battery, 100 / 830 battery fully charged ready for fitting.

Will post some pictures after the remaining LED bulbs are fitted this evening.

Thanks to everyone for your valuable advice....

I knocked my interior lights off when I fitted my bulbs as I was worried about having them all on fir a lengthy period of time. Just switching them back on after fitting each section to check they s worked before refitting. Did put a couple of bulbs in wrong way first time but easily sorted if light fitting not refitted.
Be interesting how you find the glove box light ....I was disappointed with JLR’s abysmal choice of fitment! 2012 tdv8 Westminster arrived Jan 19 gone Dec 23

Hi V8 Bob,

The wing mirror puddle lights were an easy fit - bit tight getting the light fitting out - had to use quite a bit of force with a small flat screwdriver to lever the light fitting out. I had watched the You Tube video too about fitting the wing mirror puddle lights....

Was impossible for me to get the glove box bulb out without dismantling the glove box.

Dropped the glove box, took out the fuse box lid, undid the eight frame retaining screws, four along the front and one in each corner, levered the surround down to access the glove box light fitting.

Took the cover off the light fitting removed the old bulb and fitted the new LED bulb - sadly didn't fit as it protruded beyond the end of the light fitting due to the length of the LED bulb. I just put the old bulb back in and screwed everything back together again.

I have bought these, well made and easy to fit. They are also making me a second battery kit, I wanted different lengths and connectors and they have been very obliging

Note, the Mirror Puddle light kit is not just a bulb, it is the full assembly with looks like an array of LED's
