Ditched mine on day 1. Water sodden traps. Made no difference to wind noise in car. A LR cheapy Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

I'm sure they were originally put there for a purpose, perhaps to prevent water dripping onto the hinges as you mention but it seems that they were not fitted to last long. I have one still in situ and one that is loose, so far I have left them as they are (apart from putting the loose one back in place whenever I open the bonnet). From those that have taken them off, they haven't reported any issues so I guess you either re-attach or bin them, safe in the knowledge that whatever you do will be fine. 2011 TDV8 Vogue SE |
