CLICKING FROM DASH WHEN DOORS OPEN!

More mysterious activity - 2007 TD8. When I open the door (any including boot) a clicking starts behind the dash (in the area around the ignition. It stops after about 10-15 sec. Is sounds like some sort of relays clicking. It started about two weeks ago? any thoughts or experience would be interested to hear? Thanks J

I get this too on my 2003 TD6, driving me mad.

Doesn't do it every time and when I had the dash apart to change the ignition switch I still couldn't pinpoint it

Dear all, thanks for the great advice and guidance on this - I will use the lockdown to take out the part and try and clean up and if not order one online. However I still have one very annoying issue. There is a constant round to static clicks from speaker to speaker. I have checked past posts and most say clear contractors in boot compartment. However when I look in there it is a mess of wire and I don't know where to start. Are there any youtube guides or similar I could use as a starting point. Or has anyone come across a similar issue with the entertainment system and identified a part or parts that need replacing. Thanks again for the great help. J
