Dear RR owners

I have a problem with my L322 3.0d . When car is not on the move on "D" with break pedal pressed there are strong vibrations on body. When suspension is on high mode there are no vibrations, on normal mode vibrations are moderate and on low mode vibrations are very heavy. Do you have any sugestions?

Tricky. As the car isn't moving the vibrations must be coming from the engine - are the vibrations affected by engine RPM?

If the above is yes, I wouldn't have though the height of the vehicle has any effect on the engine mountings but I think they're the first things I'd check.

Secondly, as the car is in drive, with the brakes on, the propshafts will be under load. The propshaft length will change depending on the height of the vehicle as will the angle of the prop shaft relative to the diffs. Check propshaft and diff bearings along with general diff wear.

Vibration when stopped on the brakes was a regularly reported problem with the TD6. Stan has asked the size of the wheels and, it was reported to be less on the 18s, which you have.

As said above, it didn't relate particularly to access mode. IIRC it was to do with the setup between the engine and the transmission with the GM box with the drive shaft going through the engine sump.
