Belgium 2012 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Santorini Black

I had a MY16 4.4d until September and I just bought a MY17 5.0 petrol which I'm picking up on Monday.

I'm a car trader and I try to always drive a FFRR myself, for me it's the best car in the world. '17 Range Rover 5.0 Supercharged AB (Sold)

3.0

Had the spec and colour combo I craved. More than happy with it, however if i had been a forum member before purchasing I may have waited longer for the right 4.4. Only down to the lesser body roll spoken of on here. There is always next time Whistle

Placebo at its best Rolling Eyes

I knew before i purchased it, that cornering speeds wasn't top of the list in attributes. Coming from a W166 ML which handled ok, this is no worse. Not as good as an X5, but a much nicer drive.

Ok, so just out of interest, are there any external indicators which give clues as to what engine is under the bonnet? I'm excluding the Vogue (diesel?) models which have an engine badge on the boot.

I know that some other cars give clues to engines with things like different exhaust configurations, different wheel widths, but it strikes me that the FF is a discreet operator in keeping its secrets to itself! 2016 SDV8 AB

What giveaway badge do vogue diesels have on the boot?

You can order the 3.0 TDv6 and also the 4.4 TDV8 from Vodue to SE to AB spec?

For some reason, which has been commented on in another thread, the SDV8 label doesn't get stuck on the a**e of an Autobiography.

Perhaps it's just shy.... 2016 SDV8 AB

I'll back that up - my AB doesn't have an engine badge.
Come to think of it, my 2014 VSE 3.0 didn't either?

The combination of the least amount of known faults (🤞), highest amount of torque, Dynamic Response as standard and reasonable mpg on a long run led me to choose the SDV8.

I do approx 25k miles pa, whilst I’d not buy any FFRR if MPG was critical, getting over 30mpg on a long business journey, which is the majority of my mileage, is helpful.

And yes the Dynamic Response is noticeable. 👍
