Rain water release from back passenger doors

2003 L322. After heavy rain my rear passenger doors hold water and the water releases when I open the doors annoyingly wetting peoples feet. So I gather the bottom door seal is sealing too well and not allowing the doors to free drain. Any suggestions other than wearing galoshes or gumboots?

At the bottom of the doors there’s some open bits. Mine were bunged with leaf mold. Washed it out an all
Good now. Worth a look

One of my rear doors done this as well. What I done was cut a 5mm x 10mm piece of bike inner tube (or similar bit of rubber) and neatly glue it at the middle of the bottom door seal (glue it around the curve of the seal, so to speak). Creates a tiny gap between the door seal and body when door is closed, and the water can drain out. Problem solved.
