Does flooring it readily trigger the fault? |

No it needs to be a fairly high constant throttle held for 10-15seconds and always up a gradient, I have tried nailing it and this does not cause it to go into restricted performance. |

Best I can suggest is to try to have it fault on the way to servicing and don't switch it off until the fault codes can be retrieved. |

Have you had the fault codes read? If not buy a GAP tool or have them read somewhere, without that information youre running round in the dark guessing BMW i3 Electric Car

Actually on 32 mile trip got to fail 4 times, a record! To get it to fail has to be hard acceleration after a stop at a junction. Stop then take off does it as well. Happy to buy tool to read code what of attached do I need? Or something else? |

Have you checked the fuel filter yet ?? Maybe to much water or crap in it. If it is a fuel filter issue, like water than the incline can cause that water to be pulled through with the fuel maybe. Not sure if there is a water drain on the filter that you can open and drain water out till the fuel starts coming through, maybe the likes of Craig can help you with that ???
