From your picture I'm not sure whether that is purely surface corrosion or whether some of the copper conductors are broken.

Not sure over there, but here in Oz I would find a auto electrician that specialises in trucks and machinery; and have one made. These guys have the cables etc and are always making custom parts , because of the variety of cables types and lengths needed by the types of vehicles they work on. As owners can't wait for genuine parts, downtime is a killer !

Yes, the car starts. It's just that I've been having electrical issues since I got the car 4 years ago. The dealership has made several attempts at troubleshooting, but it obviously didn't work. I think Laurie915 is on to something - I should of been going to an auto electrician and not a mechanic. But in the meantime, I'd like to know if I can use this non-US part in my US vehicle. I want to try to fix it myself before giving up and going to an auto electrician. |
