Will a battery be OK left for 2 weeks?

So, I'm away for 2 weeks, will a battery in good condition still start the car after not being run or will the various systems discharge it?
I do have an Optimate but it's a minor PITA to rig it up to the RR as it's going to be outside, needs an extension and will be in the elements etc....

should be ok if you top it up before you go. I have left mine many times for 2-3 weeks and never had a problem. Make sure everything is switched off tho!!

Thanks Guys, I've bottled it and rigged up the Optimate Got a charging adaptor for the towbar socket from the FF shop and found a route outside for the lead. Probably cook the battery and blow the vehicle up

If the car is being left outside, another option is to get a solar panel charger (got mine from Maplins) and leave it on the parcel shelf (or wherever the sun can reach it), plugged into the boot cigar-lighter socket.

I regularly leave mine for 1 month parked up on the drive.

I just ensure that everything is switched off, and the old girl always starts first turn of the key when I come back.

When you say everything switched off, what could be left on? I've just got the thing so not sure if there's more to it than pressing the off button! I'd just leave it single locked.

My 2011 5.0 S/C regularly sits for 2 weeks without moving, and sometimes 3 weeks, and I've never had any issues so far. It typically does long journeys when I do use it though, so I suspect is always left as fully charged as the alternator can manage.

But obviously very dependant on the condition of your battery!

No record of it being changed unfortunately (but it might have been), so assuming it's 10 yrs old but then again, it's done 700 miles this week so should be charged as far as it can be...

I make sure that every switch is turned off

Heater fan
Heated seats
Radio
Lights not set on auto
Etc etc etc

I don’t just turn the car off and hope for the best.

Both my old ones struggled being left for 2 weeks, even with good batteries. Always at the airport leave everyone standing in the rain as you don’t want extra draw before start. Last time it just started, newish battery freshly charged before we went. Car park roulette is what we call it. Worst part of the holidays

My query with this neat solar solution, is that if the cigarette lighter disconnects during the shut down period (mine does) then that means a relay is breaking the positive feed, so my basic logic would reason that charging would don't work?
