Ireland 2011 Range Rover HSE TDV8 Santorini Black
Led - glovebox

I can't figure out how to remove the bulb in the split glovebox to change to led. Anyone have any pointers? Or is it next to impossible to get out?

Its a PITA of a job... you will need to remove all of the torx screws around the glovebox and drop the front down, then you can get to the light unit Thumbs Up

Careful not to short out a longer LED bulb though when fitting Thumbs Up

I did mine while fitting genuine LR iPod kit...which is also a b Censored r of a job ! Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

If you want to completely remove the lower glovebox:

1. Remove side panel to centre console (1 x torx and pull off)
2. Remove footwell panel (3 x torx) and disconnect light to remove
3. Remove lower A pillar trim panel (remove step panel as well)
4. Remove (4 x torx) around top of glovebox (with door open)
5. Remove (2 x torx) one either side of the fusebox aperture
6. Remove (3 x torx) at the bottom of the glovebox, 2 in the footwell, the third on the left behind where the A pillar trim was (look up from footwell)

A light tug at the top left of the glovebox should bring it down!

7. Disconnect glovebox light, glove box lock, and the third, not obvious what it does, connector on the left

Refit more or less a reversal of the above, but probably easier to fix a torx in the top surround first to hold the thing in place .

I did mine when I did the deployable side steps. It didn't seem that tricky a job, although I did put it off until then!

Something I've since noticed though is that the button for the glovebox doesn't illuminate. Should it? I can't think what I might have disturbed. 2010 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE

Resurrecting an old thread as I'm hunting for glove box and number plate LEDS (and vanity mirror lights too, to finish off a total interior lighting update to LEDs)

I think the glovebox lock illumination was/is what Joe90 referred to as the third connector ie
