Does it feel like engine oil or transmission oil?

All Land Rover products are designed to seep oil as a way of marking their territory.

No oil change recently, but just went back through service records to see what was done last. Totally forgot they had to fix a very small transmission case leak under warranty about 6 months ago. It wasn't something I ever saw or knew about, just something they noticed while fixing a suspension issue. There was a TSB that called for using a putty cement to fix...something the master tech was verbally skeptical of that it could be a permanent fix. So if this is the transmission case I'm looking at, it's either leaking again or it's just residue from when they fixed it, presenting itself after a car wash the day i took those pics. 2021 P525 | Eiger Gray |
