Oil on a bolt...assuming this is bad?

Was under the car getting a water bottle that rolled underneath and spotted oil / fluid on a bolt just under what I think is the gearbox. See pics below. Haven’t seen any marks on the pavement, no performance issues, no warning lights, but I’m assuming this can’t be good.

Stuck the camera up inside the cover plate to see what I could see. Looks like more oil / fluid splattered around.

Does it feel like engine oil or transmission oil?
Tranny oil will feel less slippy than engine oil...
Take it to a decent shop for their thoughts maybe? Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

All Land Rover products are designed to seep oil as a way of marking their territory.
The only thing you know about one that is not dripping oil is that it has no oil anywhere in it. letters not necessarily in the right order

Looks like engine oil then, oil and filter changed on it recently.

Too dark for atf with that mileage.

Personally I wouldn't be worried with that little drop. Cheers

No oil change recently, but just went back through service records to see what was done last. Totally forgot they had to fix a very small transmission case leak under warranty about 6 months ago. It wasn't something I ever saw or knew about, just something they noticed while fixing a suspension issue. There was a TSB that called for using a putty cement to fix...something the master tech was verbally skeptical of that it could be a permanent fix.

So if this is the transmission case I'm looking at, it's either leaking again or it's just residue from when they fixed it, presenting itself after a car wash the day i took those pics. 2021 P525 | Eiger Gray
