Beam pattern

Hey chaps I have a query maybe you could help with...

do you have a distinct beam pattern from your xenon lights?

I learnt a lot about beam patterns from my last car but my range doesn’t seem to have one.

This is my wife’s mercedes Ml beam pattern it’s the same as my Bmw M3’s was. Very distinct.

And this is my rangy. It’s almost flat. Seems to be fine on the road I can see ok. Although sometimes I think they are slightly high or low I’m unsure. But the beam pattern seems very flat??

 Regards

Daz

The top picture is similar to my L322 (with HID's) in RHD mode.

The other pictures are similar to the headlamps in LHD mode - you should find a couple of levers behind the covers that will change the beam pattern. 2003 Range Rover Vogue TD6

Ah that’s interesting. I’ll take a look.

Do you know should the lever be up or down? Regards

Up for UK use. Down for driving on the right of the road. Agree with Brian C. Mine are on continental use and the pattern is the same as second picture. John

They are behind the caps at the side of the back of the light. If,as we susppect, they are set for continent then the levers are quite low. They aren't very sturdy and have a flat finger grip (for the want of a better description). Pull them straight up.

Ok someone answer me this lol.

I found them they are big white levers and we’re the opposite to what I was looking. I actually had to push my levers down to get the correct beam pattern which is this one am I right???

I’m actually really confused now. As all the videos I watched and even in the manual which is not very clear it looks like the lever is different to the one I moved?

I moved a white looking lever which looks like I now have the correct beam pattern. But is this the correct lever?

Sorry I suffer with OCD quite bad and things eat away at me unless I know I have done them correctly.

Sorry I misled you. The direction changed for later models and it became down for UK. It is a white lever.

Page two on this thread has a picture which is quite clear. Same as you are showing.

Hey. Thank you so much for linking that thread. That’s out my mind at rest.

Something so trivial but it would eat away at me unless I knew what was the correct way etc. Proper ocd is horrible to live with lol.

But thanks again for taking the time to post that. Really really appreciate it. Regards
