John, Belfast is easier if you don't have to leave your passport behind like I have to. It's less hassle to go to London and then have to stay in the UK until your passport is returned. The US Visa Dept advised me that because of my passport having to be left for the type of Visa I require (C-1/D) travelling home might be difficult from Belfast! 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes |

OMG, what a hassle completing the visa application online - took me nigh on 2 hours to fill out 5 pages of daft questions, you guys are so lucky to be able to get in there mostly on the visa waiver scheme and don't have to declare you are going to be working. Their f ing online forms kept crashing (either that or their system was reading my computer, big brother like!) fortunately THEY automatically save them to their system when you complete a page so you only loose one page of entry details and then you use a reference number they attach to your application to retrieve it so at least they are aware that their system has short comings. Now I have to head off to London for the "interview" at the end of the week. Dread to think what we ask folks looking for a UK visa, I'm sure we don't ask if the applicant is going to be engaged in prostitution (they don't ask if you will be using or procuring them!!), money laundering, raising funds for terrorist activities, going to commit war-crimes or have commited war crimes or terrorist activities like the Americans do 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes |
