I know some of you guys have taken the Rangies across France. We're trying to book a holiday for Easter, and thinking of driving down to the South of France, and renting a Gite or staying in a Chateau. Any suggestions for regions or general advice would be welcome, just too much choice out there!

For info, we want to be reasonably close to a town, and we'll have two boys, aged 8 and 6 with us. Thanks in advance, David Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

The area around Valbonne/St Paul de vence (just north of Cannes/Nice) is very pretty and still close enough for a canter into Monaco for some serious bends! Don't forget your gold card!!

you probably know this already but you cant go via the tunnel because of your lpg setup.

It's an awesome country with so much to see. We generally hit the South West coast, all depends what you want.. of course generally speaking the further south the better the weather.

Have you driven over there before? Not 100% what advice you looking for.. or just destination recommendations? 2010 Disco XS TDV6, 2009 Freelander 2 GS

I drove Manchester to Cannes a couple of years ago. I did it in one go (about 20 hours) but it was a great run. The toll roads in France are like a racetrack. No need to worry about the speed camera's

Cannes was a beatiful city. I wish I was rich enough to spend more than a few days there! My Previous RR's!
