I seem to recall from several other threads on voltage drain that these lights going out (eventually) is one of the things to check when seeing if the various ECUs are going into sleep mode correctly ...

The background lights on the shifter must turn off after about 20min when the car goes to sleep mode regardless if it is locked or unlocked. RR HSE 4.4 2006 LPG |

I’m doing this from memory as I now have a 405 but the Park light was not on all the time on my previous cars. I would have noticed it while driving- particularly at night. I don’t know about parked I just locked and walked away.😀 Geoff |

Other than the red flashing LED on the dash I'd have thought there should be no lights on in the car once its locked & shut down after 20 minutes or so.

Patience is a virtue (& something you need when running a FFRR) They do stay on for a while & then go off as part of the "go to sleep" process. 2003 Range Rover Vogue TD6 |
