I’ve had loads of issues with them since I bought the car a few months ago. Just paid £415 to get the control module changed. Fingers crossed this fixes the issue of thru having a mind of their own. |

Never seen the point of deployables to be honest, just something to go wrong. I’ve had fixed steps on both Rangies which do the job and nothing mechanical or electrical to go wrong! |

Just my opinion but the deployables are a must for an FFRR, make the RR look so much better when the are not deployed and the cool factor ( for me) is still as enjoyable as the first time I used them. 2015 4.4 AB

+1 wouldn’t be without mine - the height of decadence - plus when off road in mud / rock mode they are stored up out of the way. Keep the hinges lubed and they are fine - no more to go wrong than the soft close doors or gesture tailgate - several friends and my brother also has them - if you don’t lube the hinges you will get problems as they are in the firing line of mud and salt. Just lube them with a spray when you do your door & tailgate hinges 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17 |

Deployable adds the wow factor. Must have feature among every other feature of RR.

For balance, mine have been switched off since the day after I bought the car - hateful things IMHO

@alistair - if you are too quick for your sidesteps then there is something wrong with them - mine are deployed before the door is even fully open. As soon as I pull the handle they are triggered and ready to be used before the door is open. 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17 |

Have to agree , on the L405 the steps are very quick , on the l322 they could be a tiny bit slow. Never had an issue with the steps not being quick enough , getting in or out. Each to their own and perhaps Alistair is super agile or has other reasons for entering or exiting the car at speed , get away driver perhaps ???? 2015 4.4 AB
