Well I'm still a bit confused. It really wasn't this difficult with my P38!

I suppose I need to confirm whether mine has a dpf or not. I assumed it had, but recent threads have made me question it. 2010 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE

That was asked at 1128 this morning and this reply arrived at 1612

Thank you for bringing this up to us. It does indeed appear to be a mistake in the photo--the product should be a Shell Helix Ultra Professional AF-L 5W-30 which meets the Ford WSS-M2C934-B specification as indicated in the description. I will feedback this to the relevant team for the corresponding changes to be made.

Yes yours does sir... Every 4.4TDV8 has a DPF... The confusion i believe is that some 2010 3.6TDV8 came with and some without apparently??? BUT 100% all 4.4TDV8's have DPF's

Yes they can be flushed but be careful, there is a thermostat in the system that does not allow “standard flushing” so make sure the company offering the service knows what they are doing sir...

Oh and ZF suggest flushing is not good for the gearbox so read up first and make your own mind up sir 👍

Just a twist to this tale, Australian Spec L322 4.4TdV8's were not equipped with a DPF ! Another reason along with the fuel economy and performance makes them very desirable down under. Apparently the first batch of L405's weren't equipped with a DPF either. This is probably due to the late take up of the Euro Emissions legislation here.

The 913b spec is the same as for my disco and the old 3.6. Shell do HX7 in a 5w30 which meets 913b, but tbh It’s a mute point as Uk cars have a dpf so need 934b, it is also “synthetic technology” oil not fully synth....

Used the Millers C1 in mine for last 30k miles , big fan of Millers personally , just my twopennies worth .

Can anybody vouch for this?

It seems to meet all the required standards and is considerably cheaper than most at only £18 for 5 litres!!!!
